- Abstract
- The project examines the relationship between models and thinking in theological education from the perspective of the educator. It explores the Pacific island world, analyzes the academic institution and the ecumenical community at the Pacific Theological College, and discusses the kinds of thinking that can be nurtured in the classroom. The project is a disciplined reflection on, and evaluation of, the author's experience in teaching courses in Pacific studies, Christian education, and worship. It concludes that while the nurture of critical conceptual thinking is necessary, Pacific models of thinking need to be rediscovered and reaffirmed.
