- Abstract
- This dissertation seeks to discover early warning signs of pastoral forced exit and from those signs construct a decision-making manual from which a pastor facing the prospects of a forced exit might avoid it by seeking a call to a new field before it occurs. This decision falls into the category of 'wisdom matters' since Scripture does not directly address this subject. The outcomes chapter seeks to combine insights from biblical-theological, historical Antecedents, and contemporary literature, in order to offer a general strategy for preventing forced exit in the Presbyterian Church in America.
