  • Warner Pacific College is doing undergraduate ministry preparation more effectively through student praxis and reflection with ministry practitioners engaged in the particularities of the Northwest religious and social contexts. Responding to internal and external review data, this project participated in overall program changes to the Religion/Christian Ministries program at WPC. Focus was given to the sophomore level internship courses to create an observation level experience designed to engage the Northwest culture. The author researched models of contextual theology in preparation for student experiences. Ultimately the project led to a successful grant proposal to the M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust.
