- Abstract
- Churches in transitional or changing communities are often under stress. Programs are conceived in a negative environment of decline. This project illustrates how a pastor and congregation worked to develop a positive perspective. The process of gathering church and community information before the people are prepared to handle the data can cause added despair. Area surveys reveal more needs than churches are able to satisfy. This project demonstrates ways to recognize resources and provides methods to move from problem oriented to innovative planning. Third world churches and the business world are good resources.
