  • Interim ministry is a specialization that is carried on within a congregation during a time of leadership transition. A significant task, which the Interim Minister is trained to accomplish, is to promote the development of lay leadership. To address this task, a leadership training program was designed that invited lay persons to serve as team leaders in vital areas of ministry. This program utilized the resources of leadership theory, organizational and congregational development, theological reflection, and worship. The concluding chapters discuss the outcomes of the project, its possible utilization in other settings, and the significant learnings that the author gleaned.
