Abstract
  • This project explores effects of the Enlightenment on the modern church and on the church's capacity to live in an ever-deepening awareness of God. By reclaining the practice of contemplation, supported by reflection in selected Psalms, the church can discover a counterculture to modernity. Biblical claims on Christian life provoke different ways of thinking about life and faith.
