Abstract
  • This dissertation used qualitative research and focused on the family of origin of 25 pastors. The pastors were interviewed regarding 3 aspects of their upbringing; 'the relationship of the parents and their parenting method' 'the relationship between the pastors and their siblings' and 'how birth order within the family affects the pastors.' The content of the interviews have been organized, analyzed, and compared with literature and theory. Of the results, one is that Chinese parents use traditional way of thinking as a basis for the way they educate their children.
