- Abstract
- The potential for nurturing persons in Christian community through the small group modality is explored. The intensive group experience model emerging from the 'human potential movement' is evaluated from a biblical and theological perspective. Two particular models developed within a Christian context are assessed for insights and potential. Data are gathered from literature and participation in models. An educational model, Family Cluster, is evaluated in the context of questions raised by the therapeutic design. If insights from the 'human potential movement' are to be implemented in the church's nurturing ministry compatability with theological affirmations and nurturing philosophy needs to be evaluated in addition to the methodology of the modality.
