Abstract
  • The doctrine of prevenient grace provides a theological basis for doing spot television advertising aimed at membership recruitment in the local church. When combined with marketing techniques, an effective tool can be developed by a local church which takes into consideration the specific community situation. A procedure can be developed so that local church members do this themselves, if the personnel and technological tools are available. Such a product is found to work best when it focuses on the needs of newcomers, namely, when it shows a warm community of faith that is serious about its Christianity.
