Abstract
  • The purpose of this thesis was to develop a theory of church growth with the Bedford Baptist Church which would serve as a theoretical foundation for practical ministry implementation. The project was a test of the 'triangle theory of church growth' which is based upon three interdependent and interrelated principles: spirituality, ministry, preaching/teaching. These three principles were evaluated by a committee process in relation to selected biblical passages and the ministry context in question. An outside evaluator analyzed the theory and the committee's work. The conclusion was that this theory was valid and could be used as a theology to sustain church growth and vitality.
