- Abstract
- Churches are struggling both to make a difference in their community and to reverse decline. As the United Methodist Church in particular continues its numerical decline there is a renewed effort to discover models for ministry that are actively and missionally engaging the communities they serve. This case study of Solid Rock United Methodist Church provides one such model. From the research five transferable insights emerged. Churches seeking to be more missionally engaged with their communities can utilize these five insights and apply the basic principals to improve their ministry effectiveness.
