Abstract
  • Faith influences the arts, and the arts influence faith development. In this thesis paper, contemporary drama is discussed with themes of alienation and community in our postmodern culture. The author led an adult class in Christian Education in reading and discussing contemporary plays over a period of eight weeks. Participants were encouraged through drama to engage personal faith and the community of the church. Characters in the plays and the plot were integral to the discussion. The result was a deeper understanding of the significance of community in a world that is often lonely, through eyes of faith.
