Abstract
  • The purpose of this project is to develop a plan, on the basis of a proper biblical perspective, for a multiple ministry which consists of a centralized church and outlying teaching and preaching centers under lay leadership which uses media coordinated with the teaching and preaching ministry of the centralized church. After investigating historical, theological, sociological and cultural factors, the writer develops a plan for a multiple ministry in a Japanese cultural setting. The plan establishes a strong central church in the City of Tsu (Tsu Shinmachi Christian Church). Outlying laity-led centers provide ministry in the areas of Christian nurture, video cassette library, evangelism, day care centers, senior citizens programs, cultural centers and a home for the aged.
