  • The following thesis is based on the reality that record numbers of women are acquiring seminary-training but not procuring sustainable ministry positions once they graduate. Because of the resistance and difficulties they face in the ministry job market many of these women are expressing anger and disillusionment with the church and with God. Some are even entertaining the idea of walking away from their faith altogether. This project examines the effect this situation has on women, provides evidence that seminary-trained women are underutilized and marginalized and makes suggestions for support and encouragement.
