Abstract
  • The purpose of this project is to integrate new members into Temple Baptist Church (Memphis, Tennessee), preparing the church for the integration of new members into the church's leadership. There are two major goals: to emphasize and perpetuate an environment of trust, creating a willingness to integrate new members into the mainstream of the church's ministry; and, to facilitate the future integration of more new members into the church's leadership. Enabling this to transpire was a family-trust building process and an educational process. Experienced was a deepened sense of community that enabled persons to act as 'priests,' strengthening the work of the church.
