Abstract
  • Sexual intimacy has long been considered anathema to the Christian spiritual journey rather that an experience of divine flourishing between covenanted partners and God. This project examines the personal and pastoral formation of course [sic] and four pastorally significant issues that emerged during the class: a liberating shift in one's ability to see and affirm God's loving-presence in sexual intimacy; religious and relational trauma; the importance of cultivating safe space in a relationship; and the beauty of experiencing divine flourishing through sexual intimacy.
