- Abstract
- Intensive short-term, cross-cultural immersions can inspire participants' rediscovery of the missio Dei by exposing them to the dynamic mission agency of God's otherness incarnate in others whose living stories can release them from mono-cultural, one-dimensional perceptions that limit awareness and will to join God's mission. The author's research was based on leadership of the Myanmar Immersion Seminar. Autobiographical story method relating field discoveries of God with others at table and in story-sharing and educating the community about the divine motives of departure and return in the biblical stories have proven successful in inspiring faith, excitement, and new support for mission.
