- Abstract
- Joyful evangelism missions approach is an excellent mode of presenting and proclaiming the Good News of great joy to all people who need to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of the world, by all who have accepted the Good News and are co-workers with the Lord Jesus Christ in the gospel business of making disciples. Examples abound in the Old Testament where God's people and messengers are exhorted to declare tot he nations with joyful song and testimony what the Lord God Almighty has done. In the New Testament, the angels who brought the Good News to the shepherds, the Lord Jesus Christ himself and the apostles furnish practical illustrations of joyful exuberance in proclaiming the gospel. But there seems to be a dearth of recipients and custodians of the Good News who are eager to go out and share the gospel with joyful passion powered by the joy of the Lord. This project embarked on recruiting and motivationally training believers from churches in USA to become confident and joyful participant sharers of the Good News. The methodology deployed in research involved planning and carrying out a mission strip to Uganda, and evidence of joyful motivation was assessed through analyses of responses to questionnaire hand outs from research respondents, as well as observations and doing impromptu interviews with participants during the trip.
