Abstract
  • The ministry project facilitator sought to equip parents to be the primary Christian sex educators in their family. The facilitator conducted six two-hour seminars on the following topics: (1) introduction of theological rationale and theoretical presuppositions, (2) exploring and understanding our own sexuality, (3) sexuality in childhood, (4) sexuality in the home, (5) values, and (6) communication skills. The facilitator led four parent support groups to reinforce learned skills. The writer provided a thorough bibliography and extensive appendices. The project analysis demonstrated that with training and support, parents became more capable Christian sex educators during teachable moments with their family.
