  • This project explores how three congregations based in a district of Edinburgh, an area with many social and demographic similarities can unite in worship as they unite as one new parish. Through semi-formal interviews and participative workshops, a worship group formed by members of three congregations worked through a process to determine and set out a new liturgy and order of service for future joint services. The new parish worship group produced the liturgy and format of the service. In doing so, they considered the three churches' religious and social histories, traditions, practices, and worship styles with the principle aim of determining if a theologically informed convergence service helps unite the congregations.
