- Abstract
- This study is concerned with gauging the attitudes of church members toward issues of money and giving in the church. Selected members of the author's congregation were studies, using both questionnaires and personal interviews, in order to discern their attitudes and the sources of those feelings. Findings indicate that most of these persons do not share some of the negative attitudes reported in the literature. Moreover, certain attitudinal differences did appear to exist between lower givers and higher givers, with the latter group more likely to report some life-changing spiritual experience that affected their feelings about material resources.
