Abstract
  • This action research project attempted to accelerate the process of spiritual formation at the seminary by the introduction, implementation and evaluation of seven innovations: expanding the class advisors' function to make it more pastoral; establishment of a campus spiritual life committee; silent retreats; small groups to promote campus spiritual life; incorporating spiritual life objectives in lesson plans; revising the admission procedures; and, establishment of a campus counseling center. The first three items were the most effective in fostering spiritual life on campus. Student involvement and staff support were essential for success in the project.
