  • This project's purpose was to establish a cooperative, ecumenical youth ministry to youth in grades 6-9 among Hartford area churches. Primary goals will be to expand and enhance the capacity of partner-church youth leaders to provide meaningful church-based learning, fellowship and outreach opportunities to youth with connections and/or potential connections to their congregations. Secondary goals will be to buffer the effects that resource limitations and staff turnover have on single-church youth programs; to increase participants' exposure to racial, cultural, socio-economic and religious diversity; and to encourage churches to work together in a way that builds community between congregations.
