- The problem identified was that many clergy marriages are stressed due to the pressures of the profession. This study identified a course of action for offering marriage enrichment to ministry couples. A couples group was added to a Clinical Pastoral Education unit, an established course of study required by seminaries. The method was a case study completed with six couples with pre and post testing. While testing showed slight changes in the marriages, self report included many comments towards marital growth and management of ministry issues. Offering preventative aid may prove to be a valuable resource for clergy couples.
