The purpose of this project was to equip a select group of men from First Baptist Church of Brandon, Mississippi, to be spiritual fathers to teenage boys. The project involved enlisting 11 men from the church to participate in the project. The men were equipped using teaching sessions taught by the project director over the course of two weekend retreats. During the six weeks between the two retreats, the men participated in weekly community group meetings with the project director. The teaching seminars and community group sessions were assessed by using pretests and post-tests, two spiritual life assessments, role-playing, ministerial observation, and a written evaluation completed by the participants.
