Abstract
  • This project discusses the impact of leading a congregation in developing a ministry of servant evangelism. The author determined through research that servant evangelism has both a biblical and theological foundation. After studying how a pastor can lead his church to an outward focus, the author enlisted volunteers to participate in servant evangelism projects. Three social science research techniques were used to measure the effectiveness of the project. These included a questionnaire in pretest/posttest format, interviews, and focus groups. In conclusion, the author found that servant evangelism would provide churches excellent opportunities to reach out to their community.
