Abstract
  • This project proposes that intentional programs of spiritual formation can help Mennonite Christians to grow and mature. Based on a biblical and theological understanding of growth toward Christian maturity, the project identifies three phases of Christian formation: choosing Christ, remaining in Christ, and living for Christ. The project tests this process in two congregations. Growth is the confluence of God's grace and human effort.
