Abstrakt

The goals of this study are 1) to identify the teaching competencies that are essential to faculty members of Assemblies of God Bible Institutes in the Philippines, and 2) to prepare a program which allows a selected group of faculty members to develop or improve these teaching competencies. Research methods include personal interviews, direct observation, and surveys of teachers and students of the target schools. An in-service faculty development program is prepared and a field study is conducted with a group of twelve participants. The author concludes that the program does help the participants improve their essential teaching competencies.
