Abstract
  • The purpose of this project-thesis was the exploration of the meaning of the liturgical seasons of Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany at College Park United Methodist Church. To accomplish this purpose, the questionnaires were used with a select group of thirty people. This questionnaire was distributed before a worship service during Advent. Through the worship experience, sermon, and group discussions, all aspects of these liturgical seasons were covered. The preacher covered the historical and theological meaning of the seasons in the group discussions. An end result was that liturgical seasons need to be uplifted and that such planning is good both for the congregation and the preacher.
