Abstract
  • The study is to equip parents in a ministry of leadership to develop a program of intergenerational learning in a Lutheran congregation. Several methods are employed: 1) research in secondary sources of theology and the social sciences; 2) application of research results to design a course for parents that integrates the family and the church; and 3) implementation and evaluation of the course. The evaluation concentrates on leadership, the value of the family, parental ministry and the service of God's family. The results give qualified support to the thesis and suggest some themes for a theology of education.
