Abstract
  • The major objective in this project has been to prepare a manual for use in training our field leaders and missionaries in how to manage conflict more skillfully and effectively. Considerable attention is given in the manual to biblical examples of conflict and to cross-cultural factors that influence the way conflict is dealt with in other cultures. Sources of material included books, articles, and DMN courses on conflict management, inter-cultural negotiations, and cross-cultural management. I also drew from my personal observations as well as those of my associates serving with GMU International. The manual has five major sections. They are designed for a series of five seminar sessions of two to three hours each. These materials were given as a pilot presentation to Twenty GMU missionaries serving on our Mexico North field.
