- Abstract
- This project provided training for national Primitive Baptist clergy through a professional program in continuing education. The hypothesis is that a training course for licensed ministers is a primary step toward a more effective clergy in this denomination. The project was intended to encourage a higher level of general professional competence in ministry among ministers with poor educational backgrounds. An assessment of this pilot program indicated that it would be advantageous to establish an ongoing program and that the program will accomplish its purpose as it becomes a part of the National Primitive Baptist agenda.
