Abstract
  • This project concerns the crisis the laity and clergy are experiencing today: a sense of alientatin from self, others, and God. It identifies different forms of alienation, historically observes the role of the clergy and laity before and after Vatican Council II, identifies problems specific to the clergy, outlines Carl Jung's understanding of the process used to find wholeness, and finally, offers to the people of God suggestions and implications for the future. The future for the church will be difficult but is hope-filled.
