Abstract
  • The project analyzes the effect of participation in a weekly prayer, Bible study, and sharing group led by the author in his congregation. Data gathered from 28 participants by an original questionnaire was analyzed in order to determine: if the group had a positive effect; which of Clebsch and Jaekle's four functions of pastoral care was most in effect; what variables (classifying and Pruyser's seven diagnostic) were most related to positive effect; and what program resources were reported as having the most positive effect. Implications of the results for pastoral care are suggested.
