Abstract
  • Out of a search for why Christianity's impact has been so ambiguous regarding love, justice, community and wholeness, the author suggests that a paradigm characterized by separation dominates Western civilization and has been confused with Christianity--even though it fits poorly with the gospels' pictures of Christ's style and purposes. But a new paradigm characterized by integration has been coalescing and is much more compatible with Christ's cause. The study includes the 'mining' of twelve books on transformation from various orientations; theory presentation; implementation suggestions (workshops, a new kind of Bible study, etc); reports on clergy feedback and workshops.
