- Abstract
- This project introduces a team ministry concept to a traditional congregation, East Grand Baptist Church of East Dallas, in the summer of 1995. The project used a series of theological lessons followed by surveys of the congregation to introduce the team concept to the church, concluding with a small group training seminar. Spiritual gifts of church members were identified, and these gifts and interests directed formation of ministry teams in the congregation to accomplish specific ministry tasks. The project discovered that a contemporary approach like team ministry could be introduced into a traditional church structure with effective results.
