Abstract
  • Corporate grief and grieving is a complex of social processes with characteristics unexplained by personal grief writings. This thesis incorporates theoretical concepts from pastoral care, cultural anthropology and theological conclusions from psalms of communal lament to more adequately describe these processes. A ministry project based on that research proposes to introduce clergy to the processes of corporate grieving and ways to more deliberately address corporate grief in ministry contexts.
