Abstract
  • This major applied project explores the role of Woodlands Summer Youth Camp in the mission of the church. Part 1 examines Holy Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions in the development of a mission statement. Part 2 suggests a timetable and accompanying documentation for implementation. Part 3 offers a sample counselor manual. An outdoor ministry can become an integral part of the total program and curriculum of the educational opportunities of the church as campers enjoy an experience in Christian living that makes full use of the natural resources of the environment.
