Abstract
  • This project studied the degree of involvement of local churchmen in evangelism, discipleship, and fellowship, and also attempted to discover their needs and values. Interviews, focus groups, and research into masculinity and its development from the scripture and other literature formed a basis from which to make recommendations for future ministry. Some conclusions were: 1) pastoral involvement and good lay leadership is essential; 2) it is sometimes beneficial to let an existing program die in order for new life to emerge; and 3) Christian men are hungry for friendship and spiritual growth.
