Abstract
  • Christianity in Korea struggles with shamanistic influences. When Protestant missionaries brought Christianity to Korea, they forced Korean Christians to throw away all the ways of Korean shamanism, but shamanistic tradition is variously found in the spirituality and daily life of Korean Christians. This project explores the shamanistic influences on Korean Christian spirituality, and examines how the liberating spirituality in Korean Shamanism can be used as a spiritual resource for Korean Christians.
