- African American church and health care: knowledge as a cure
- Abstrait
- My hypothesis was that the knowledge of health care issues dispensed over a period of time, through structured seminars, would raise the level of awareness of a set group of participants. My proposal involved pre-testing subjects to determine their level of knowledge regarding health care issues. Subsequently, the study conducted a series of seminars designed to increase the participants' knowledge on issues of health care. Following those seminars, the study evaluated its results by post-testing the participants to determine the extent of acquired knowledge. The study then tested usage of this knowledge in everyday activities.
