Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to pursue the possibility that a pastor could work with lay leaders by sharing authority and leadership roles in the urban ministerial setting of South Korea. Even though Nakwon Methodist Church has born so many fruits within recent years, as a lead pastor of this community, I could not set up a good system for equipping lay ministries and did not nurture lay people for our church mission. Thus, through this thesis, I looked into the biblical and theological grounds of sharing leadership with laity, and I designed the 'Nurturing discipline program' as a 12-week program to develop and equip lay leadership.
