- Abstract
- Protestant churches, in particular, have been too slow to embrace digital culture and the many components of that communication system. 'From Text to Talkies' is a workshop that introduced church leaders to the theory and theology behind digital communication, addressed some of the common concerns with 'jumping on that bandwagon,' and modeled ways to communicate the good news in the digital age, including traditional storytelling. Participants were able to grasp the importance of understanding this paradigm shift and motivated to seek ways to incorporate more of these methods into their ministries so as to better communicate the Good News.
