- Abstract
- The arrival of a new parish pastor creates a need for a dialogue to clarify the roles of clergy and laity. This project was an effort to structure such a dialogue within the context of a sound doctrine of ministry. A theology of ministry was developed and shared in a series of sermons and children's messages. Dialogues were held to discuss the implications. The congregation was surveyed before and after the sermon-dialogue series to detect any changes of attitude. The project met goals of teaching doctrine, initiating dialogue, and emphasizing ministry as a live vocational option.
