Abstract
  • The thesis states that the best way to train mentors for youth in the area of spirituality is to give them an introductory base of knowledge in traditional spiritual disciplines, coupled with training often used and appropriate for the training of faith mentors. A qualitative case study method was used. The thesis was supported by the study though there was indication that the longer and more experiential the exposure mentors received to traditional spiritual disciplines the more effective they became. A proclamation model based on the preaching event is proposed.
