- Abstract
- This project proposes that congregational ministry can be expanded by involving laypersons in teams that develop a coaching and support network to encourage the practice of ministry. After determining ministry needs and possibilities through a congregational survey and analysis of community demographics, the project enlists participants in six introductory and six 'phase two' classes and presents three sermons on ministry teams. Lay ministry teams prove to be a viable tool for leadership development and transformation of congregational ministry.
