Abstract
  • The purpose of this study was to facilitate organizational development through strategic planning and biblical preaching. The goal was to craft a rough draft statement of the church's purpose, mission, vision, and core values. This research showed integrating leadership and preaching facilitates pastors leading a congregation. A control group made up of core leadership was surveyed with an instrument designed to measure the group's ability to listen and comprehend a sermon. The same instrument measured the group's level of leadership awareness. After the sermon series concluded and data was collected, a conclusion was reached that there should be a unified expression of leadership and preaching within pastoral ministry.
