Abstract

The seminars on retirement planning held at College Park Baptist Church in Las Vegas, Nevada, addressed the confusion and fear of retirement. Participants in the two Saturday morning sessions heard qualified speakers on financial planning, legal matters, health, Social Security, local senior citizens' programs, and Christian theological perspectives. Outcomes sought active participation, self-reliance, and personal responsibility. The project designer developed a program providing accurate information concerning: retirement planning, social aspects of aging, resources for retirement planning, and direction in making decisions relative to their future in retirement.
