Abstract
  • This project-dissertation's method of research combines insights from the available literature and primary documents, the writer's twenty years of direct experience in pilot ministries relevant to mission strategy, and a survey of commissioners to the 1981 Presbyterian Church of Korea General Assembly. The project resulted in a far-reaching proposal for renewal of structure and strategy for the Presbyterian Church of Korea, some of which is being adopted at present. The table of contents are: 1. the situation confronted by the Korean Church; 2. the theology of mission and Korean theological thoughts; 3. a responding mission community; 4. the Presbyterian Church of Korea's mission strategy as shown in survey results; and 5. mission strategy and plans for church renewal. Concluding observations follow.
