Abstract
  • The author studied spiritual formation needed for lay ecclesial (church) ministers using a survey questionnaire, focus groups, interviews, and a one-group pretest-posttest. As a result of this research, a new six-week program of spiritual formation based on Jesus Christ as our spiritual pathway is now being regularly offered. The program awakens in participants an increased awareness of God's presence in them through baptism, helps them grow deeper in their relationship with God through various forms of prayer, and assists them to take on more of Jesus' attitude and mission in their own lives and ministries.
